Authorities in Pakistan say at least two people were killed and 10 injured Sunday when a gas cylinder explosion tore through a residential building in Karachi.

Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed told Dawn news that two of the injured are in critical condition.

Police say the blast happened in a gas cylinder shop on the ground floor of the structure.

Emergency workers fear people could be trapped under the rubble.
